Co-founders ERIC GREEN and MATTHEW NERNEY grew up in the Boston suburb of Bedford and became fast friends in their high school years. Upon graduation, their film journey began working together on several film and television projects.

They split up when it came time to choose a college. Matthew went to Westfield State University, and Eric studied at Fitchburg State University. Then in the summer of 2000, when Matthew graduated from WSC, they joined forces to create CRUISING IN THE VAN PRODUCTIONS.

The first production was To Be John Woo written and directed by Eric. The short was put together for a relatively low-budget, the cast was made up of SAG and non-union talent. The 16mm short film, had a successful run on the film festival circuit from 2002 through 2004 (at festivals in Massachusetts, California, New Hampshire, Florida, and Texas, as well as Toronto, Canada and Brisbane, Australia).

The next production was on the short film Musician For Hire, their first New York City shoot. Shot on Mini-DV and in a very short amount of time, MFH tells the story of Joe, a struggling rock musician. Since its debut in 2004, MFH has played film festivals all over the country (Texas, California, New York, New Hampshire, Florida, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington as well as Ontario, Canada), streamed the web (on Music Plus TV and Revver), played on TV (on the cable series The Director's Chair) and won an award (Best Music Video for the music video sequence at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival).

In 2008, CITV began their first foray into documentary with the short Getting to Know Slightly Known People, which streamed online on Current TV's website:

Next for CITV is the feature-length documentary Life On The V: The Story of V66, which examines V66, Boston's music video TV channel of the 1980s. For over two years, interviews have been filmed with former V66 employees (including John Garabedian, Arnie "Woo Woo" Ginsburg, Bob Rivers, Greg Hill and Ian O'Malley), musicians (including members of The Cars, The J. Geils Band, New Edition, 'Til Tuesday, Extreme, and The Del Fuegos) and fans (including Ernie Boch Jr.). They have created quite an online buzz and have gotten some attention from the press (Boston Globe), TV (Fox 25 News), and radio (WAAF, WFNX, WZLX). Stay tuned for some updates.
